Advancing Composites
For decades SCG has been committed to assisting our customers with R&D projects that have advanced the development and marketability of composites for specific applications.
Some examples include:
- Working with LLNL and DARPA to develop a rapidly deployable up-armor kit for the 5-Ton Gun Truck during the war in Iraq.
- Extensive testing for anti-piracy (anti-ballistic) solutions for maritime applications in the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean
- Development of FEMA rated and tested materials to be used for wind-engineered tornado and hurricane shelters
